'Timeless Love' - a CD of 24 hymns by contemporary authors

Several of the tunes on this new CD
were commissioned for and
FIRST SUNG AT THE EDINGTON
FESTIVAL
Ludlow (1981), Edington (1985),
Coulston (1995), West Ashton (1998),
Upton Cheyney (1999), Bishops Cannings
(2000) and Freshford (2005).
The 24 hymns are by contemporary authors,
including Timothy Dudley-Smith, Fred Pratt
Green, Christopher Idle, James Quinn, Brian
Foley and Paul Wigmore, set to tunes by
John Barnard.

Recorded in March 2006 in the spacious
acoustic of Southwark Cathedral by the
cathedral choir of boys, girls and men. The
programme lasts nearly 70 minutes. The disc
concludes with Michael Saward's great hymn
Christ triumphant, ever reigning.
